10 Subtle Signs Your Partner Is Not Right For You

 /

The unique cord between your brain and heart signals us about many things. Similarly, sometimes your subconscious warns you when your partner is right for you. It will give off subtle messages in the form of feelings and emotions, that will hopefully make you realize with time that you need to let your partner go, wait for someone better to come along.

โ€œThereโ€™s a lot of power in putting it out in the universe. Itโ€™s telling your subconscious mind, this is whatโ€™s gonna happen.โ€ โ€“ Reba McEntire.

Love is blind and thereโ€™s no doubt about it. But if itโ€™s not for the right person, then thereโ€™s no use of nurturing it. In the never-ending struggle between the heart and brain, all of us tend to ignore the signs which indicate that our partner is not the right one for us. However, it is our subconscious mind that starts giving out red alerts.

Here Are 10 Subtle Signs Your Partner Is Not Right For You

(1) You always feeling insecure.

You donโ€™t feel secure in the relationship, and you just donโ€™t seem to have any kind of trust in it anymore. No matter what happens, most of the time you end up feeling that something is wrong, or something will go wrong. You always feel anxious and scared and feel like there is a pit in your stomach.

Insecurity becomes a permanent resident in your heart and brain, and no matter how hard you try you are never able to get rid of this nagging feeling.

(2) You judge yourself by the words of your partner.

You are always seeking constant validation from your partner, and you are always running low on self-confidence and self-esteem. Itโ€™s as if until your partner believes in you, you feel that you are not good enough or worth it. A relationship is supposed to make you confident about yourself, not otherwise.

If you always need your partner to judge your worth, then you are living your life on their terms and this is definitely not good for you. No matter how much you love a person, you need to love yourself at times, and be happy with who you are.

(3) You donโ€™t feel comfortable when you are together.

Having your partner around doesnโ€™t make you feel comfortable. You are either tensed or nervous to have them around. Being with the person you love should make you feel complete, safe, and secure, but when you feel otherwise, then maybe itโ€™s a sign that your partner is not the right person for you.

Your partnerโ€™s presence is supposed to give you peace; if the relationship doesnโ€™t fit into your comfort zone, then itโ€™s definitely not worth it. Love is not supposed to feel like a chore, if it does, then you know what you need to do.

(4) You always try to convince yourself that your partner loves you.

You are always finding reasons to keep yourself convinced that your partner loves you. This is because, within your subconscious self, you do know that they donโ€™t love you. Itโ€™s just your heart trying to work it out, what your brain already knows. A safe and happy relationship is never supposed to make you feel this way.

If your partner does not make you feel loved, and appreciated, and always takes your presence for granted, they are not the one for you. You deserve someone who will make you feel like the most special person in this world.

(5) You do things out of fear, rather than out of love and respect.

The things you do for your partner are because you are scared of them, not out of love or respect. When you fear your partner more than you love them, itโ€™s a huge red flag that you donโ€™t belong together, and you should leave the relationship as soon as you can. A relationship cannot sustain itself based on fear.

The foundation of every healthy relationship is love, security and affection. If these crucial things are not there, then that relationship is not worth it in any way.

(6) You overanalyze every conversation or every act.

You canโ€™t understand your partner and over-analyze everything, be it something they said or something they did. If your partner makes themselves mysterious for you, and always makes you question even the tiniest thing, then how can you even live with them?

Be with someone who will never make you question yourself, and your relationship. You deserve to be with someone who will never make you feel like something is wrong with you, or that you need to change yourself in any way.

(7) You tend to check on your partner more often.

You do have the right to know your partnerโ€™s whereabouts but spending too much time on tracking them implies your subconscious mind is sensing something is wrong. Even though personal space and trust are vital in a relationship, if you feel that they are always up to something shady behind your back, then maybe you should rethink the relationship.

This is a red alert and you should use your logic and take the right decision before itโ€™s too late. Take the right decision before you do something you regret.

(8) Your partner has become everything for you.

Romantic as it might sound, if you feel that your life is revolving around your partner, then itโ€™s a warning sign that things are not going in the right direction. Your partner might mean a lot to you but you need to have your own life too. Making them the center of your universe all the time is an extremely unhealthy thing to do.

Your life should not always revolve around them; you have your own life, dreams, and passions. If you find yourself unable to focus on them, then maybe itโ€™s time to move on.

(9) You are always the one making all the compromises.

In a relationship, both partners are supposed to compromise to maintain a healthy balance in the relationship. If you are the only person who is compromising everything to keep your partner happy, then definitely your partner is not worthy of your compromises.

Why be with someone who only knows how to take, but doesnโ€™t know how to give? It wonโ€™t be long before you will feel emotionally and mentally drained, and will simply become a shell of the person you once were.

(10) You have stopped doing things you love.

Doing things you love defines the person you are; thatโ€™s your individuality. If you stop doing that, then it means thereโ€™s no space for your happiness in your partnerโ€™s life. If this happens, then that person is not the right one for you.

Being in a relationship should add to who you are and make you a better person; it should never change you into someone you are not.

Facing similar issues? Think about it. Act before itโ€™s too late.
