And now that it has finally been released, safe to say, Tia Williams has done it again! One of the many good romance books to read this year, there is a musicality and beauty about this book, and of course fitting the tone and the place because it’s required so.
The story is based in Harlem, where Ricki has left behind her powerful family, and has opened a flower shop, which was always a dream of hers. In New York City, when nonagenarian Ms. Della proposes her to rent the bottom floor of her brownstone, she doesn’t think twice and does it.
And just beneath the surface of her neighborhood, burns the embers of the Harlem Renaissance, where she meets a handsome, mysterious stranger who changes her world.
3. How to End a Love Story by Yulin Kuang
Releasing on April 9, 2024
Yulin Kuang, how does she do it? A seasoned Hollywood talent, Kuang is gaining credence as the scribe behind Emily Henry’s “People We Meet on Vacation” script and the helmer of her “Beach Read” film adaptation.
However, this year belongs to Kuang’s new novel, “How to End a Love Story”. It starts with an incredible first statement; “Her little sister’s funeral is a dull affair all things considered.”

Now this one I’m really, really excited about. Sophie Wan’s “Women of Good Fortune” which is women’s fiction, romance and heist all rolled into one.
Lulu, Rina, and Jane are determined to have something better than what they currently have. The girls quickly realize Lulu does not need to marry this man because she doesn’t really love him. However, they realize that she will be getting a lot of cash as her wedding gifts, and all they have to do is steal that money and they’re set for life.
However, as the heist starts to come together, their romantic relationships and friendship threaten to ruin everything they have planned so meticulously. No wonder, this is one of the most anticipated romance novels of 2024, and I am sure this will quickly become one of the most popular romantic novels.
6. Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez

Justin has a curse: Every time he breaks up with a woman, she finds her soulmate soon after. Now Emma has heard about this “curse” and she is curious to test this theory out, because, surprise surprise, she has the same curse too.
So they come up with a plan that they’ll fake-date each other, in order to break the curse, and both of them will finally find their true loves. It’s supposed to be just for the summer, and a very, very casual fling.
However, Emma and Justin’s families start interfering without knowing about their “arrangement”, and the situation becomes even more complicated when real feelings start to show up.
Abby Jimenez’s books are super popular for a reason, because her writing is phenomenal and the stories she comes up with are nothing short of gems.

7. Funny Story by Emily Henry
Releasing on April 23, 2024
When Daphne’s fiancée dumps her out of the blue, because he realizes he is in love with his childhood best friend, Petra, her world shatters. She confides in her roommate, the only person who can understand Daphne’s situation – Miles Nowak, Petra’s ex.
They mostly avoid each other until one day while drowning their sorrows, they strike up a genuine friendship and form a plan. They are going to pretend that they’re dating in the summer which may or may not involve them posting oddly misleading pictures of their summer escapades on social media.
But that’s all just for show because there is no way Daphne would fall for her ex-fiancé’s new fiancée’s ex. Right? There will never be a list of most anticipated romance novels, without Emily Henry’s name on it. The storyline is already making people curious, and I can’t wait for this book to come out!
8. This Summer Will Be Different by Carley Fortune

Lucy is a tourist staying at a beach house on Prince Edward Island, and Felix is a local who helps her have a bit too much “fun” if you know what I mean. However, Lucy has no idea that he happens to be her best friend’s younger brother, and they mutually agree not to repeat “that night” again.
However, every year when Lucy vacations on the island with her best friend, Bridget, she forgets about the deal she made with Felix, until she realizes that she is falling for him.
Need I say more after this? May 7 could not come any sooner.
9. Late Bloomer by Mazey Eddings

Another one of the most anticipated romance novels of this year is this one right here, which I’m sure is going to be one of the good romance books to read for years to come!
A cozy yet steamy “opposites-attract” novel, “Late Bloomer” is a sapphic novel that brings together the two protagonists, on a flower farm in Asheville, North Carolina. Lottery winner Opal has come here to start over, and Pepper has stayed despite everything.
Eventually, they decide it will be home for both of them, but living in such close quarters and having all sorts of arguments somehow brings them even closer (add all the flirting in that too!).
This is an easy-going and relaxed queer story with a beautiful location in the backdrop. I am pretty sure this one is going to become one of the many good romance books to read this year.

10. In A Not So Perfect World by Neely Tubati Alexander

A hilarious take on the popular romance tropes – fake dating and forced proximity, this one is not just one of the most anticipated romance novels of 2024 but has already become one of the most popular romantic novels of this year.
