They called her ‘strong’ but that was not her aspiration.
She was more true to herself and genuinely realistic. She knew she had strength but was not strong, she knew she is brave but also vulnerable. She wanted them to see her reality but they kept on labeling her even with their complaints!
As the years went by she no longer wanted to be seen ‘strong’ because it only gave them access to lay more on her.
Every time someone said ‘you are strong’ sounded like expectations, responsibility, a frame, a duty and a taboo she no longer could bear, carry or fit into.
Her favorite label was her name… just her name.
She simply wanted to be a woman…a human, a being, a soul, a heart, a mind… a wild free feminine spirit that can only be contained through freedom!
