(Some questions to ask yourself when deciding on whether to commit or to stay committed to a person.)
• Does this person have empathy?
• Is this person emotionally available? Is this person good? Do they care about the well-being of others?
• Does this person have the ability to give and receive love?
• Does this person have boundaries and is respectful of others?
• Does this person have the ability to give and be unselfish?
• Is this person a responsible adult? And can take care of himself/ herself?
• Are they able to communicate and express their feelings in a healthy manner?
• Does this person have self-awareness?
• Does this person have the ability to be faithful?
• Is this person emotionally stable?
• What are my deal breakers?
• Does this person have the ability to change and grow?
• Is this person sincere, honest, and trustworthy?
• Is this person spiritual? How important is that to me?
• Does this person have good morals and values?
• Is this person compassionate and understanding?
• Is this person loyal? Does this person have my back?
• Is this person an addict? Are they in recovery for an adequate period of time? (addictions can include everything from porn, sex, alcohol, drugs, and any other significant addiction.)
