"Would you Hold his Hand in Public?" - Mind Talk

sexuality is something built into the DNA and cannot be changed; there is no “converting” ritual out there because how can praying a few times change the code in which your genes reside? Tell me again how intelligent that sounded in your head, and how stupid it sounds now as you read these words. If you want your son or daughter to remain faithful, get them to do a better job than you are doing, because if God’s love is unconditional and everlasting, he can forgive homosexuality the same as murder or premarital sex. What so many religious people forget is that all sins are viewed the same before the eyes of the Lord. I know that and I am not even that religious.

If you can take one thing from this, I want it to be that when you support a homosexual’s lifestyle you are helping them along. Even in our world where gay rights are human rights and the media is proud to be gay-friendly, it is gut-wrenching to come out as gay and heartbreaking to not be accepted for it. The moment you tell a gay person that they are confused, that they are an abomination, that they only exist to fuck like bunnies and never repent, you are only sending them further and further down the line. And I don’t know about you, but that isn’t exactly the very human thing to do in a world that is already so inhumane.

To hate on heterosexuals was not the purpose of this post. However, the hate is primarily from our heterosexual brothers and sisters, and it saddens me that I have to watch my P’s and Q’s because so many people aren’t okay with homosexuality. Stop viewing differences as issues; rather see them as opportunities to evolve. Homosexuality is not a stepping stone to overcome when climbing to greatness; it is the mountain you seat yourself upon when you know in yourself that you are great.
