  1. Love is UNION. To make ONE of multiple. If it is true love, it will be the union of the souls, eternal. If not it will only be the union of the bodies and may be very efemeral, circumstantial !!!

  2. “Love is a temporary madness, it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides, you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion, it is not the desire to mate every second minute of the day, it is not lying awake at night imagining that he is kissing every cranny of your body. No, don’t blush, I am telling you some truths. That is just being “in love”, which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident.”

  3. Love is everything we need..
If it gives pain it is also the Healer,
If it brings rain,it also gifts us wd umbrella..
    Love is happiness..Happiness is Love..
    Selfless unconditional feeling..
    Love is just love..

An ocean of magic which cannot be wrapped up in jst 5 words..:)

  4. Look back at the main thread. Look at how many different word choices are used with their 'five words'. Their personal definitions of what love means to them. I'll agree that there are some patches of consensus, but the whole 'five words' thing perfectly illustrates how love can be perceived by everyone in different ways.

  5. I always do. Words could never really describe how true love feels. One can attempt it. Thousands and thousands have tried and write beautiful things, but they never truly measure up….

  6. Continue to believe. Love should not be commonplace. Sometimes it is a challenge – because we have such an inability to trust. If we were able to surrender ourselves to the possibilities of love – to trust – I have to believe that the world would be a better place.

  7. Ha. Well, my intention isn't to impress anyone with my command of the language, dearie. I just write what's on my mind. I know a thing or two about love. I've had my heart broken before. To paraphrase Plato, love makes you a poet. My best work has been written while I've been burning under the maddening, white hot fire of love….

  8. Tony McGee, thanks for clearing up the confusion. I enjoy all of those things; well, maybe not my mother and I have enjoyed several places lived, New York City, Nashville, TN, Pittsburgh, PA. However, I reserve Love for things which bring me joy, make me smile when I recall, or simply compel me to yearn still existed. Reserved for people, pets and remote experiences. Now a days, I am disheartened more than I viscerally remember how I loved and how it was defined.

  9. To love, to be truly, head over hills in love is to achieve perfection. Because to love with such ferocity, to love with every fiber of your being is the only way to truly be alive, and you will hence live for all of eternity, even after death….
    That was like 40 words….

    1. That's not what I meant. I love pizza. I love my mother. I love Denmark. The love I feel for all of these things are all very different. The love I feel for each of them is felt and expressed in different ways. Love IS complex, and has nothing whatsoever to do with sex.

  10. My heart is full of "Pain, lies, betrayal, rotting memories, and every thing that sucks your soul.."

I'm just a walking graveyard of all these

But i must tell you the moment you come in my life, u will find

"I still believe in love, i do and always will"
