Introverts prefer staying behind the scenes and have hard time dealing with attention. Public speaking is one of their worst nightmares, and they do not like talking to anyone and everyone, and would just prefer to talk to people they know very well, and feel comfortable with. They are better listeners than speakers, and would be perfectly comfortable not giving in their two cents during a conversation.
5. When extroverts turn into marathon talkers.
Contrary to popular belief, introverts do not despise talking to people, and there have been times when they have talked to someone for a very long time. But this is a rare occurrence, and most of the time introverts feel uncomfortable with marathon talking. But extroverts are the exact opposite. They can talk till the cows come home, and not feel overwhelmed or drained even in the slightest bit.
Because introverts are minimalists when it comes to the gift of the gab, they never truly understand and relate to an extrovert’s need for endless talking. When confronted with an extrovert and their marathon talking, introverts have a hard time navigating through the situation and sometimes even feel helpless and trapped, all the while counting the minutes to when the conversation will be over.
6. When extroverts socialize just for the sake of it.
This is another one of those things that extroverts do, that introverts simply do not understand. Socializing just because you are bored? Socializing just because you are free? Wait, come again? Don’t get it wrong, introverts like to socialize with their loved ones and close friends, but they never feel the need to socialize just because they have nothing to do.
Being alone and having free time opens up a world of possibilities and opportunities for introverts. Binging on that interesting documentary. Trying out a new recipe they found on Pinterest. Drowning themselves in a book. Ordering some food in, and catching up on the latest reruns of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The opportunities are simply endless.
Now introverts don’t hate extroverts, it’s just because they are so different from each other, introverts have a tough time understanding why they do what they do. Introverts are unique in their own ways, and extroverts are beautiful in their own ways.
