Survivor She kept her head straight

She kept her head straight when she was falling,
And hid her tears deep within her heart.
Happiness and serenity were all from her soul stolen;
Her world was slowly crawling and falling apart.

A peace seeker, a girl with way too good a heart;
This cruel world just isn’t the best place for her to be.
Others’ words were a sharp aim of a dart;
She was there, strong, wounded, and pain-free.

Taken for granted and told that she’s not good enough;
She continues to bleed while no one can see.
Her scared eyes and childish heart were seeking for a non-bluff,
That will just see and love how vulnerable she can be.

I am a hopeless romantic. I aspire to inspire people by my example. I want to be a healer and to make others avoid painful experiences. Also, I want to be a role model when talking about unconditional love and trust.View Author posts
