Some Days Ago
The sudden eeriness,
The atmospheric silence,
Spewing over miles and miles.
Hovering above us, the dark clouds,
The sun is dead for days,
And the social distance felt so loud.
The half-dried shirt tossing in the ominous rain,
Feel no beauty and no pain,
The soul is turning into smaller than toes.
Raindrops flog the soft leaves.
Some days ago,
We were catching the sunshine outside our door,
Time felt like moving so fast,
And now every tick counts for an hour or more.
We were craving for Sundays and holidays,
Asking friends and family for a day off,
Now everything sleeps dead on its own.
And every single day starts and ends at home.
