O beautiful pine tree, you’re something I want to write
I love the way your torso moves upright.
You nestle over the sky-high hillside
Beneath rivers flowing never-ending free with pride.
You’re on my mind day and through the night
For I know I can’t keep you out of my sight.
How much I love you? Perhaps in uncountable ways
I love your crown of leaves and your lovely cones always.
You are bestowed endowment of evergreen
Your whispering silence as the dark wintery days begin.
One day I shall leave this world with a quiet heart
Oh dear! hope you remember my words even whilst we’re apart.
