2. Quality Time

If your love language as a mom is Quality Time, then you are the kind of mom who is always there for her children, come rain or shine. Your daughter is playing the Little League? You are there on the sidelines cheering for her. Your son is participating in the Annual Dance Finals? You are there in the audience cheering for him and capturing everything on your phone. Yes, this is the kind of mom you are based on your love language.

You know the importance of being a present parent and you try your best to always be there for them. However, at the same time, you know where to draw the line and you always respect their boundaries. You always try to make sure that your parenting never veers into the territory of helicopter parenting.

For you, the perfect weekend plan is to spend time with your family, even if you are not doing anything exciting; just being with them in the same space and enjoying each other’s presence is what makes you happy. Spending enough time with your kids makes your heart happy and your soul nourished.

3. Receiving Gifts

If you think about what kind of mom you are based on your love language and your love language turns out to be Receiving Gifts, then it’s quite self-explanatory. You are someone who loves getting gifts from people, so you do the same for your children.

It doesn’t always have to be an expensive or fancy gift, what matters is the thought behind it. You might leave a sweet note for them once in a while, saying ‘I love you’. You might get them the book that they have been eyeing for a long time but didn’t have enough pocket money to buy. Whenever you are out of town or traveling, you always make sure to get them some gift or the other.

Giving gifts is how you show your love, affection, and appreciation for them, and you leave no stone unturned to make them feel special. Holidays and birthdays are your favorite because then you get an opportunity to pamper them to no end.

No matter how much you might love to pamper your children with gifts, always be a bit careful that they don’t end up being too materialistic and spoilt. Make sure that they know it’s the thought that counts, more than the gift itself.

4. Physical Touch

If your love language as a mom is Physical Touch, you never leave an opportunity to hug your children or snuggle with them. You show your love by kissing them the moment they wake up in the morning. When they come home from school, you are ready to give them the biggest bear hug there is. You tuck them in bed at night with forehead kisses.

You believe that as a parent, it’s important for you to show your love physically, and that’s why you never hesitate to hug them or kiss them. From a very young age, your children know and understand the power of physical affection and love. This is the kind of mom you are based on your love language.

Unlike some parents, you don’t find it unnecessary or cringe to shower physical affection on your kids, and that’s why your children end up being emotionally mature and kinder from a young age. If they are sick, along with some hot chicken soup, you don’t fail to give them a tight hug to make them feel better. If they had a hard day at school, you cuddle with them and try to make them feel better.
