10. Coordinate a parade.

Plan and coordinate a parade or block party celebration for someone’s birthday or anniversary. Consider doing this for a highschool/college senior who is missing the traditional commencement ceremony. Or even better, do this for someone who has survived Coronavirus. I’ve seen beautiful stories of family and neighbors coming together to celebrate the return home of a survivor who was hospitalized.

11. Tell someone you love them.

This random act of kindness is so easy but so important. We are all stressed, bored, and unsure. Stop to remember and tell the special people in your life how much you love them. Even if you’re sick of being around them.

12. Send a care package.

Put together a few essential items, like toilet paper (if you can find it), and mail or drop it off at a family member, neighbor or friend’s house. Include a short note of kind words. Let them know you’re thinking of them.

13. Treat your postal service worker, grocery store clerk, or delivery driver.

These people are amazing and working hard every day during this pandemic. Show them how much you appreciate their selfless work with a note, card or by simply saying thank you when you see them.

14. Be creative.

Get the homebound gang together and create your own music video to post on social media. This entertainment is an act of kindness to anyone who sees it. Join in or coordinate a teddy bear hunt in your neighborhood. Put art in your yard for everyone to see while out walking. Sing, dance, color, write….creativity is everywhere. Pass it on.

15. Talk nice to yourself.

This last random act of kindness is just for YOU. Pay attention to negative self-talk during this stressful time. Replace it with positivity. Self-care is crucial to survival. Be sure you are taking time each day to care for yourself. YOU ARE WORTH IT.

Now, get out there and spread kindness. It starts with you.

Stay healthy.
