Instead Of Getting Even Or Teaching Someone A Lesson

Instead of getting even or teaching someone a lesson

“Instead of getting even or teaching someone a lesson when they do you wrong, consider teaching yourself a lesson instead. Revenge keeps you physically connected to another in a negative way. Release yourself through the liberating act of forgiveness, and learning a truly valuable spiritual lesson.”

Confrontation can be avoided if you understand clearly where you stand and where the other person is coming from. If you feel that your opinion is not welcome and your views are not being respected, if the other person is not willing to understand then why waste your time explaining? People will believe what they want to believe.

I agree! When it works. Sometimes forgiveness isn’t easy coming. Some acts cannot be forgiven. But teaching a lesson isn’t the answer. Just walk away from that!

fotgiveness is not for/about the offender. it is to release oneself from the negativity and to recognize when one does not have tools at the time to move away. “for-to-give-omeself” completely paradoxical in action

Once the confrontation has gotten out of control & I have been there….Many Years, Tears & Vengeful thoughts & sometimes actions…I have removed myself, detached, and feel so much better having that burden lifted with God’s Help…I use to be (not 1 to mess with) very vengeful. now I use my Intellect to handle these matters….documentation, names, dates, times…you will have back-up by keeping records, or recording. In my opinion-you will be so much happier in the long run……
