How far you can climb up this way!
Your unheard footsteps each day
You rise up higher and higher and so
Your nebulous heart turns smaller as days go.
Your wild pursuit of the golden light
Thought nothing and even others plight
Each stepping tread you wear a different cloak
You forget the twenty-four-hour clock.
Your reckless mind can’t fathom any more
Even when the troubles shall lurk at your door
But, remember when you reach your final step!
A sense of remorse and agitation won’t be much help.
