Don’t Be Beautiful

They keep saying that beautiful is something a girl needs to be. But honestly? Forget that. Don’t be beautiful. Be angry, be intelligent, be witty, be klutzy, be interesting, be funny, be adventurous, be crazy, be talented – there are an eternity of other things to be other than beautiful. And what is beautiful anyway but a set of letters strung together to make a word? Be your own definition of amazing, always. That is so much more important than anything beautiful, ever.

  1. Being beautiful does not mean one has to wear branded outfits or cosmetics. Beauty lies in the simplicity.. one has to love being herself/himself. And that touches the soul of that person and once that is realised, then that feeling is seen..

  2. As long you are you <3 you are already beautiful to the people that count in the present and future!

You cannot achieve something when you have it already for eternity! So just be you <3 Kayla Moore

    1. OK I hear ya, at one time I was stunning, don’t get me wrong, no way I’m conceited, I’m older now and frankly really struggling what is happening with my body! Just cannot make peace with aging. Yet I find all those pics of older women with all those character lines so enchanting. Go Figure!

    2. I’m hopeful to reach 70 Cindy and experience life the way you did (including physical deterioration). Meantime we just need to resist a culture that is promoting vanity. 😉

    3. Mel Melicor You are SO RIGHT, resistance tho sometimes is an immovable force. Don’t get me wrong, gratitude exudes from my soul, AND I very much dislike BLAME, all in all resisting such a deep seated culture is a difficult feat!

    1. I agree, “beautiful” means to me, someone who has the grit, the stealth, the spirit of self love, to me that is beautiful! AND it has very little to do with adipose tissue, or exterior presence. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, sadly most just like (self admittedly me) want it all. IF WE COULD “ALL” BECOME OUR OWN “in the eye of our self beholders!!!
