Destiny was a boy,
who was born given all the answers and powers in the world.
Walks through deceptions, flies through darkness,
carrying with him just his soul, mind, and heart.
These elements lights the whole world and
 gives meaning to his name.

Destiny

itiswrittenforyou

She didnโ€™t know what to do.

He steps forward, hesitant at first, worried he might scare her away. She doesn’t move.

“Please look at me.” His voice is surprisingly calm. She meets his gaze. The tenderness she sees there is arresting. Her eyes well up again and she squeezes them shut once more. I don’t deserve him, she thinks. He is too good, too kind, too gentle. And she is not.

He reaches for her hand, tentatively lacing his fingers into hers.

โ€œHow could you ever think that you are small when every time I look at you, I see the missing half of myself? How could you ever think that I cannot love your scars when the moment you bared them to me, I found myself in awe of how strong they have made you?โ€

She gapes at him. Suddenly, she knew. Suddenly, she understood.

โ€œI have fears, too, love. But nothing makes me more terrified than the idea of losing you. So please, please, come back.โ€ He rests his forehead against hers, fresh tears escaping from his eyes. โ€œCome back to me,โ€ he whispers.

She untangles her hands from his, reaching up to cup his face and brush away his tears. โ€œLook at me.โ€ She finally finds her voice.

She kisses him, her arms winding around his neck. He sighs into the kiss, their breaths mingling. Her demons would have to waitโ€” and his, too. They’re together, and for now, this is enough. For now, this is perfect.

She pulls back and tugs his hand as she maneuvers him towards the opposite direction, back to the roomful of people waiting for them still.

โ€œTo the beginning of the rest of our lives,โ€ she says.

And his face breaks into a smile.

I met this chic named Destiny, I knew she’d get the best of me. She was so badass like a movie star, and even more so when we kissed in her car. She had a nice ride and it smelled like class, then we took a short drive and got some gas. At the gas station, she licked her lips, opened up the glove and showed me some chips. She said-Poker, poker that’s my game, we’re off to the casino, I got a lion to tame. We get to the casino and she’s treated like a star, it turns me on and then they deal the cards.

The girl is so sexy the cards even know, she wins again and again now she owns the show. All the onlookers are in love by now, Destiny all too knows this and lifts her brow. She starts to pout and say her name….Destiny, Destiny is hard to reach, Poker is my thing that I like to teach. If you watch me and how its done-I’ll show you all the hearts and the money I’ve won.

The onlookers stood there even more intrigued, sweating her next move- you best believe. She cleaned up again with her winning ways and leaned back and said, I told you Poker pays!

I said, Destiny Destiny, you won again, with a grin! She stated.Welcome to hell now the devil will begin. She said I’m a lure for souls like you..now you’re in hell, ain’t nothing you can do. You fell for it, you agreed to come, you ain’t getting out its contract run. Love, Destiny….lol

Surrounded by rotten trees
the air stinks with human greed
lying on a mountain pile of dried leaves
wherein the world should I be?

in every step, grass withers and dies
insects and birds start falling from the sky
when was the last time I see the light?
the wind blows my thoughts, I can only cry.

the mountains’ scream echoes to my head
such tales give sorrows to my heart I cannot mend
do the sky always paints itself this way?
..a slight sense of loss for words to play…

hours of wandering in this cold shrouded place
crows begin to tease with little sweet pecks
what kind of destiny I’ll soon have to face?
how terrifying, my scars no longer bleed that way

wherever’s the place I can call my own
whoever there is I can share my all
best be forgotten, I will soon be just skin and bones
surrounded by rotten trees, is my lost and broken soul…

They had known each other since long now, he was a top executive at a big company, she was a top-notch lawyer.
Both were well known in their fields.
Both were stuck in fruitless, loveless and passionless marriages….
The attraction was tremendous.
It was a clear moonlit night, when they’d reached the hill station, a quaint beautiful place, away from the city, must’ve been about 8 PM, it was raining very heavily, it was insanely cold and she was shivering badly. Though they’d kept warm clothes in the car, but they were in the diggy. She just had a shawl to comfort her.
It was not dark, but blue all around with the moon shining above.
They checked into their favorite hotel and had some delicious coffee.
They were together, it was sufficient for her.

It was the love of a lifetime.
They were soulmates…

They were both silent, grateful for the stolen moments, from their busy schedules.

Both were not much talkative, their silences spoke to each other.
There were memorable moments that were spent.
The next two days were pure bliss for her…

They held hands, took long walks, had their meals together….

They returned with very heavy hearts…
Both for various reasons…
He because he wanted it to end…
She because she sensed it….
She’d sensed his hesitation to commit a long time back

The next year, she visited alone to celebrate the anniversary of their love…
As she turned towards their favorite sunrise spot, she saw a silhouette in the mist…

There was a cigarette in his hands….
As he turned to throw the butt, they came face to face….
The sun was slowly coming up…

It was Him…..
It was then that she realized, it, after all, was their destiny…..
Both smiled at each other…..
