“But in the end”, I whispered, “it becomes okay”. I’d closed my eyes and taken a deep breath before I continued. “That’s what I love about us humans. We fall, we break and sometimes our pieces are shattered across the room in a dangerous way. We cry, we gasp and we think we won’t survive but we do. We get up, brush ourselves off; try to collect and fix our broken pieces. I swear, that’s what I love about us humans. We posses the ability to carry on, with or without, the missing pieces”.
