For this DIY project you’ll need:
- Thin rope;
- Hammer and nails;
- Electric drill orscrewdriver;
- Photos or pictures you like.
It’s very simple: take yourclipboards, electric drill or screwdriver, and make little holes atthe top corners of the clipboards. Take a piece of thin rope, make asmall knot at the one end, pull the rope through the hole in onecorner and through the other hole in another corner. Make a knot atthe other end of the rope to fix it. Take pictures you like andadjust them on the clipboard. Hammer the nails in the wall and hangthe clipboards.
That’s pretty much it. You can usedifferent levels and patterns to hang the clipboards. I’ve donethis DIY project for my colleagues atAssignmentMasters and they use it even today to place reminders.This is a great and practical DIY to make.
4. Chic Acrylic Paint Wall Art
Creating art is a greatway to relieve stress. Using acrylic paint to createwall art is the latest trend in room décor. The fun part is that youdon’t have to be an artist to do it. It’s all up to yourcreativity and vision.
Materials you need:
- Acrylic paint;
- Some brushes.
You can create acrylic paintings byusing pouring technique by separating different colors of acrylicpaint into different containers and simply pouring the paint on thecanvas. You can create different patterns using the colors that matchyour room décor. It’s a perfect way to design your room and tounwind.
5. Cozy Repurposed Sweater Pillow cases
Do you have some sweaters you don’t wear? Repurpose them and create cozy wintery sweater pillowcases!This is a great addition to your room décor.
For this DIY project you’ll need:
- A throw pillow;
- An old sweater
- Stick pins;
- Needle and thread matchingthe color of your sweater;
- Buttons (optional).
To check the fit, stuff the sweaterwith a pillow. You don’t want the pillowcase to hang around theedges. Cut the sleeves and the neck of your sweater and use stickpins to hold the sweater together. Remove the pillow, turn thesweater inside out and sew the edges together, skipping one edge toput a pillow back in. After you’ve placed a pillow in yourpillowcase, fold the edges inside. Your sweater pillowcase is ready!
6. Elegant Picture Frame CandleHolder
This is one of my favorite room DIY projects. My friend and colleague Francis Green, a project manager from BrillAssignment, shared it with me.
To create a picture frame candle holder, you’ll need:
- 4 one size picture frames;
- Glue gun;
- Acrylic paint
Replace cardboard pieces and pictures from your picture frames. Take a glue gun and glue class to the picture frames to secure it. After that, you can glue all picture frames together to form a shape of a box. Take acrylic paint of yourchoice and paint the frames. It’s a great way to add somethingfresh to your room décor.
7. Simple and Easy Lava Lamps
This is a great science DIY to createwith your kids.Childrenneed to science more to better understand how theworld around us works. Besides, it’s a great way to spend time!
To make this room DIY project, you’llneed:
- Vase or water bottle(preferably from glass);
- Food coloring;
- Vegetable oil;
- Alka Seltzer
Mix water with food coloring. Add about¾ of vegetable oil to the bottle. Add colored water but don’toverfill the bottle. Break Alka Seltzer into tiny pieces and throw itinto the bottle. That’s it! Put a flashlight under the lamp to letit glow and enjoy the science!
