Spiritualism and Metaphysical 101 – Mind Talk

Spiritualism and Metaphysical 101 - Mind Talk

What is spiritualism? There are many different definitions to the term that it can get very confusing. Spiritualism is defined as โ€œa religion postulating the belief that spirits of the dead residing in the spirit world have both the ability and the inclination to communicate with the living.โ€ (wikipedia.com) Spiritualism to me is simply the act of being spiritual.

What is Metaphysical? Parts of any philosophy that is beyond the natural. Metaphysical is also defined as โ€œThe rational science of the supersensuous or supernatural. The science of all that is possible, so far as it is possible.โ€ (the religious dictionary)

Some Metaphysical groups consider themselves to be Christian. All believe the moral teachings of Jesus, the man. Metaphysics teaches to test principles rather than being asked to believe. One of Metaphysicals exponents described it as โ€œIt stands for the deeper realities of the universe, the things which are external โ€“ which stand above and beyond the out of the phenomenal realm.
I am a spiritualist. I believe in all religions, I use knowledge from Christianity (based on the bible and the teaching of Jesus Christ); Mysticism (spiritual intuition or of truths believed to transcend the ordinary understanding of the natural world); Estoterism (special knowledge or interest and desire for private, secret spiritual knowledge of the electic sect); Occultism (dealing with supernatural influence and phenomenons).

There are truths to every belief system and I happen to believe that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience. I believe this because of my experiences. I was raised Christian and I studied the bible. I went to church every Sunday and attended bible study. Still, I thought there just had to be more, to this great universe. I could never believe that My God would create souls โ€“ like all of us, just to have us die. This created conflict in my early belief system so I stopped studying Christian and began studying with Jehovahโ€™s Witnesses.

Studying with Jehovah Witnesses did not have the answers for me either. So I just stopped. I never stopped believing in a higher power or a Great Creator, but I stopped believing or attending any organized religious group or church.

Then several years ago I met a woman, her name was Sarah Brown, suddenly my life made since. Who I was made sense!! The reason I always felt different and as if I didnโ€™t belong was because I was different. I was a Medium, I was an Empath, I was a Spiritual Healer and I was not living my divine life path. But finally, my steps lead me to the right person. A teacher. Someone who understood me and could guide me where I needed to be.

I could find the answers to all of my questions and Sarah gave me the right information and tools to begin my journey. I began reading, researching, practicing, and finding my own answers. I found my Metaphysical/Spiritualism belief system based on what I could โ€œseeโ€,โ€œtouchโ€, โ€œfeelโ€, and โ€œsense.โ€

I have full faith, belief, and trust in My God, My Spirits; My Divine.
First let me define an Empath. An Empath is a person that can โ€œfeelโ€ what another person is feeling. An Empath can be in a room with someone who is in tremendous emotional pain and the emphatic person will have that same emotional pain as well. They can feel physical pain, emotional pain; anger, happiness, sadness; any emotion of any person.

Sarah taught me a simple prayer that I use everyday to protect myself as an Empath. โ€œI cloth myself in a robe of pink light, made of love, power, wisdom, and honor; not only for my protection but for all those who come near me or see me, can be healed and led to God.โ€ That simple prayer has been changed a time or two to fit me. Different colors for different reasons, but I digress. If you find you need the prayer then please use it.

What is a Medium? We all have seen the Long Island Medium so you probably understand that we have the ability to communicate with spirits that have passed over to the spiritual world. Wikipedia.com defines Mediumship as โ€œthe practice of certain peopleโ€”known as mediumsโ€”to purportedly mediate communication between spirits of the dead and other human beings.โ€

A Spiritual Healer is someone who can use their energy or โ€œuniversal life forceโ€ to help heal another person. The healer connects with the person with their energy and their mind to heal those in need. The healer also has the ability to use this same universal life force to heal animals. Some consider this faith healing, I know it as a way of life.

I searched and found Reiki. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by โ€œlaying on handsโ€ or can be done from a distance. It is based on the idea that an unseen โ€œlife force energyโ€ flows through us all and is what causes us to be alive. If ones โ€œlife force energyโ€ is low then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy, healthy, and whole. I became a certified Reiki Master/Teacher so to better serve the people I meet that need healing.

I have never felt more alive or more complete in my life and I owe that to my Spiritualism. My spiritualism led me to my Twin Flame and together we work with people who need help. Life Coaching, counseling; addicts, couples, individuals, we help any and all. We do this because it is our calling. I hope to help others find their calling; their life paths.

My journey began with books. I began delving into anything and everything I could read on Mediumship, on Spiritualsim; Metaphysics, and other Supernal writings. The first one that was suggested was Mediumship and Itโ€™s Laws: Its Conditions and Cultivation by Hudson Tuttle. I picked up a couple more that were written by famous Mediums or Clairvoyants.

The most important thing that anyone can do on their journey to find enlightenment is to ask themselves if they are happy with their current situation. Go deep within and ask yourself what do you believe? What do you want or expect from your religion/spiritualism? If you feel that you need more than find more.

…without reading this ''link'' I make this ''distinction''…religion is a ''group'' function,Spiritualism and Metaphyisics are more ''personal'' and ''individual'' and both are…''beyond the physical''…peace…

My Rendezvous With Life

My Rendezvous With Life

The treacherous waters of existence hail in their stride,As the beauty of sailing against the winds uproars in its ride.Benevolence in its yonder stirs the mirth of the true,Navigating the turbulent waves, death and I had a rendezvous.

I sought the beauty of the light that was unseen,In the depths of my muse, I found my world within.Life in its flair, trudged me into the emblems of the dark,The dreams that perspired in the seed embraced their death,As it was time for a new quest to embark.

Quaint whispers that echoed in their gallant stance,The jeers that surmounted the uncertainty galloped in their dance.Silencing the wind, bestriding the fall,I plunged into the entirety of my endeavours that call

The Beauty Of Gratitude In A World Full Of Cynicism

Ever acquainted with the phrase that the world that you exist in, the life that you embody dwells in the perception of the stance you hold for yourself. The beauty and the tragedy of life is that it is as beautiful as the optimistic lens of perception and as ugly as the pessimistic view of your being.

I Breathe In The Sauntering Air That Collapses My Being

I breathe in the sauntering air that collapses my being,I breathe through the crevices of my existence unseen.Uncertainty in its yonder strikes in bolt on the scars that nobody sees,Redemption that loves, redemption that is free, find me in the depths of my poetry.

Tales of lust ridden in smeared touches that belie,Entreated with envy, the visions of victory lie.To be or not to be in a question that yet lies,For I yearn for a world where fond passion never dies.
